I ended up with it holding just over 1 1/4" of overall reflex. Happy with that for my first attempt. Maybe I needed to soak it in the heat for longer to get more.

Lost the reflex, and the set came back. oh well.

it doesn't really seem right since I heat-treated, but I cant put my finger on it.

I'd love some help.

Set seems to be permanent, from what I read and I have not been able to steam it out with hickory.

Yeah, I'm learning that. I'd seen online that with white woods you could toast it out with dry heat. Anyway I'm happy with 1 1/2" set at full draw, I'm done tillering.
