My internet's been down for a couple of days and I missed this. About no 3 or 4 on the strike plate, I will steal that idea.

Thats a very nice tillered bow by the look of it. I have tons of rowan growing here. makes me want to give it a go again! usually when i have cut it it has been quite spiraled.. did make a nice longbow once - with a deep rounded belly. That choclate colored heart wood really is a nice contrast to the sap wood.

@all: fhanks for not too harsh critisizing my beloved bow
@dc: you get permission but do use the good tools
@aksel: theese trees seem to make the nice heartwood only very late and nice old rowan-trees are difficult to find here. the last couple of sapling staves hasn't any heart wood....still very nice wood. Heat-treat it!

Very nice smik. I somehow missed this one to. Sure glad DC spotted it. There sure are a great bunch of inspirational bowyers on here. They have inspired and help me to. Don't forget to post no.3
