Percussion bifaces

Been practicing direct percussion with a lightweight bopper. It's just a piece of ocean spray with a copper cap no weight. I am used to hammerstones of varying sizes, but I am really liking this I seem to be able to take the thinking flakes I want. Some glass, toilet tank, (I don't have many big pieces of rock) and the longest piece of dacite I have been able to keep together. Thanks goat!

1” copper cap over a ball peen hammer and beat it to round shape with a hard rubber, plastic, wood, etc. hammer. Remove cap and put some fishing weights in it and fire it up with the torch to melt em to the bottom. Pop that on to a 10” handle with some epoxy and you’ve got a great bopper!
