60 minute point challenge...
« on: March 25, 2018, 03:14:43 pm »
Anybody want to play?  I set a timer and started with a slab of Keokuk.  Nocked off a nice flake and went with it.  No real rules...just a fun thing.  Whats your best effort?  The challenge is on!

I want to play.  Are we going for the best point in the shortest amount of time?  Or simple what’s the best we can do in 60 min?

Steve, soon as I get a chance I,ll try one. Steve, if you ever get to Letchworth or Flint Ridge make sure and watch the ten speed, actually I think utube has video of it, way out of my league, but pretty amazing what can be done. Bob

Start with 60 minutes and work our way down over time?  Be fun to work down to a 10 minute point challenge!

Bob, Derik Gratz was telling me about that 10 minute challenge...I can't wait to make it to Flint Ridge.  MAYBE, this fall.

My wife and I are actually starting to look at finding 10-20 acres of land around that area for the future.

Looking forward to it...

pressure flaking or percussion?  I can knock out a point out of a slab in about 30 minutes using pressure flaking.  I just got home from  Texas with some materials that I have to cook up and work on my percussion.

However you choose, to start.  We'll leave it open ended and see what people come up with in 60 minutes of time.

I think it would be cool to just take a starting picture and finish picture so people can understand the basic progression.

We'll see how it goes but I like the idea of perhaps tightening it up as we progress through a round, or so.  We'll see!

Very nice bowmo.
I'm not sure how I'd do at this challenge. Usually I have to force myself to slow down.lol

Well done, Bowmo!  That's a really cool progression of pictures, also.  That first picture says a lot.  Good post and mighty fine point in 52 minutes...not much debitage.
