DC, traditional wood working has all ways been a hobby. Primitive skills have always fascinated me. Restoring old cane furniture, calligraphy, gilded manuscripts, weaving, needle point as in upholstery from the middle ages, I can knit wool socks, I can make my own clothes, tan hides and fur, flint knapping, leather work, basket making, I could go on but you get the point. I like to make things simple as that I guess.
My intention was simpler primitive type stave bows, however good staves are hard to come by around here, so I'm keeping with the traditions of our ancestors and making the best bow I can with what I can find. Thanks to the info from you Guys.
