Badger, this is the best I can figure, first time ive used this chart. Mass chart TBB 4.
64 inch bow 26 inch draw #50 =18
subtract 1 oz for #5 variance=17. That was a typo in my post, it was #44 @24 not 48. @26 its now #46.7 should settle close to 45.
add 1.5 oz for 10 inch riser, .75 for every inch over 8= 18.5oz.
add one oz. for every 2 inches draw exceeds working limb ignoring stiif tips? limbs are 27 last 11 are stiff so add 5 oz.?=23.5oz.
So the bow weighs 18.4 oz. (have a nice postal scale) I'm way under mass? (dont think thats right)
Or if they meant ignore stiff tips as in not subtracting that from the length, then I have 27 inch limbs at @26 inch draw, so back to 18.5 oz. bow weighs 18.4oz. Perry reflex CAN reduce mass by up to 10%=16.65oz.
I forgot one. Add one oz. for every 2 inches of reflex glued in. Out of the form it had 1.5, thats how far the tips were off the table any way so, add 2oz. to 16.5oz.=18.5 minus the 10% Perry reflex= 16.65oz..
Hell if i know Badger. But the bow weighs 18.4 oz. and it shoots verry nice.
I believe i will try this formula on the previos bows ive made and observe the correlation between predicted mass and how well they shoot. A good excuse to shoot some arrows if nothing else.
Not accounting for perry reflex its 1/10th of an ounce to heavy.
Had to edit this post, forgot i went with 10 inch riser not 12.
