BBi finished
« on: March 10, 2018, 01:21:30 pm »
Hello Guys, I think she came out ok, snappy shooter. Bamboo backed Ipe, 62 inches n2n  #49 @26. its 1 1/8 wide parallel out 8 inches tapering to 9/16 tips. Doesn't have any noticeable hand shock but the next one I will take the tips down to 3/8 just to see the difference. Put about 300 arrows through it and no issues with the handle. Had an inch of reflex off the form still has an 1/8th.

Nice bow JW!  Do you leave the tips long(past the nock) for a reason, or just personal preference?

Great job! If nothing else narrower tips on your next one will make it noticeably faster.

240, I done that on purpose for two reasons. 1. To make it easier to string with my stringer. 2 to see what effect it had. I'm going to make another just like it one day and will compare the two. I can always chop that off and narrow the tips but it shoots so good I don't want to screw it up trying to tweak it..

Good job, that came out great. How high is your brace height?

That was quick!  She looks great.  At that length, you might not notice much difference when you narrow tips on the next one, but you might>
