Been years since I've posted a bow so here ya go fellers. This is Osage with a rawhide backing. 54 in. NTN , 15/8 at fade to 5/8 at tip. I stained the belly with leather dye and with Kiwi brown shoe polish. Funny
It looks just like a twenty year old Osage bow.
The bow has a propeller twist on each end witch I left because the string bisects the handle perfectly. Did cause some scrutiny when tillering.
I referred to the bowyers bible vol. 4 page 104 and page 124 as well as page 45 of vol. 3. I decided to get adventurous here. Did not really achieve replica but more of a combination of all.
Yep! this ain't pretty but it sure performs well so I'm real pleased.
Bow ends up with 1/2 of follow from a 3/4 in. reflex starting out. I usually would achieve 1 1/2 set with Osage. Maybe the tiller was appropriate.
