blowing the dust off
« on: February 18, 2018, 12:33:35 pm »
Put my tools in storage about 6 months ago along with the last of my obsidian. Found a nice flake to refresh on this morning. 24 degrees out and blowing snow but it wasn’t so bad sitting in the shed. A few poorly ground edges, a couple times popping high side instead of low, and not sharpening my copper came out with this on the first flake. Hunting width and weight, flat, not as symmetrical as I like, but hey, apparently I didn’t forget! Gotta love how easy dacite is.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

FLINTKNAPPING IS EASY...I WAS ALWAYS TOLD I COULD BREAK AN ANVIL WITH A POWDER PUFF.
