Received my trade supplies today. WOW!!! Aaron sent me a lot of good stuff!!!

variouse hardwood pieces for tip overlays
raw 1095 steel for making a knife

and purpleheart!!!

  How did you know that rosewood is my favorite wood?!?!?! Makes the finished knife absolutely beautiful!! It's good that my new apprentice is also a knifemaker so he can help me with the blank and steel along with sharpening the trade points for me!  :OK

Figured I was going a little over board but there was room in the box so I had to keep stuffing.  Things ship better when firmly packed...good excuse right?  Much of it I had in the garage for more than a couple of years so time to use it or loose it.

The shafts are supposed to spine 55-60, BTW. 

I really love this paste wax recipe so let me know what you think.  Feels like chocolate to the hands...best way I can describe it.

Now let's see your hands put it to good use!

got my package from pearly today. I will be making some fine arrows tipped with a flint head that will hopefully take a turkey this spring and a deer this fall. thank you much sir.
