Ed-She plans to use the first one she got as her everyday working crook, and she wants to use this one during her trials/tournaments.

Cool...Sounds like an interesting/active/ & rewarding fun for your mother.I can imagine out on a grass pasture that things are'nt quite so muddy etc.Still quite a detailed handle on that stick.It's good at least that she knows the details of all the components in it.
