Alternatives to MT-13 for sliding sleeve take down bow???
« on: December 16, 2017, 08:32:44 pm »
Hello All,

I’m going to attempt a sliding sleeve take down in the near future. The TBB’s recommend Smooth On’s MT-13 epoxy, but I was wondering if anyone had any success with alternative adhesives. I don’t have a problem using MT-13, just curious about alternatives.

Thanks,

Doug F.

Every big Epoxy company that makes industrial strength epoxy has a comparable product.  3M has DP 460  for example and several others.

Aircraft Spruce airplane building supplies lists several.

Every good epoxi is working, but nothing else.

Thanks Pat and Simon. I had my suspicions. I’ll do a little searching around.
