This past weekend was opening weekend for modern gun season here in Ky. I took both kids hunting and boy did they score  Lauren 14yrs old took her first ever horned deer 8pnt with my 7mm and Lucas 16yrs old Scored on his second horned deer also a 8pnt with his 270. I was so excited That ole Dad decided to forgo anymore hunting during gun season and concentrate on some cold weather fishing.

Yes Lake Cumberland. They came up in the jumps.

I usually go to my uncle in the spring time and fish fishing creek. Always had fun fishing for them.

Congrats to your kids brother, nice first buck for your daughter,and nice fish. Mine fell asleep in the blind Sat.morning only to wake up with me elbowing her in the ribs and 3 does starring at her trying to find them with the sleep still in her eyes. Didn't turn out as good for her as it did yours.

Nice pair of bucks for the kids, and a nice stringer full of fish for Dad.  Balsatech, your daughter ain't the only one to fall asleep in the blind or on the stand!  Makes for a lot of teasing, though!

Great job by all hunting, fishing and raising a new generation of hunters. Love to see those smiling faces. It was Opening day gun here yesterday. My youngest son had college but has today off. We're getting ready to go out now.
