The Bamboo Beast Sticker

Hello everyone. This is a bow I made for a fellow taking his first steps into primitive archery. It's a bamboo backed hickory refllex/deflex, 60# @ 26" the length is 66". Osage tip overlays, osage/walnut handle. Antler tip inset for an arrow rest. A real sweet shooter, no shock and whisper quiet. Thanks for looking. Hammertime.

Looks good and looks like you dealt with the twist in the lower limb.   Nice bow. Your friend ought to be happy with it and you ought to be happy to get another sucker hooked! ;) 8)    Pat

recourve shooter...The  bamboo I purchased from pine hollow log bows I think around $20 the rest I had in my shop total for all supplies around $75 give or take.I can't take credit for the name a friend who helped with the "shoot in and pictures"thoght that one up anyways thanks to all on this sight for inspiring.Jeff Kolste-Hammertime

well its beutiful. nicely done. for now i think ill stick with my shagbark (hickory) long. it was cheep and shoots well.
