There was some talk about having an ugly bow contest next year.  Is anyone interested in doing that?

Your ugly bow days are long past, Mikey. You are part of the A-Team cookie cutter bow club.

I found myself standing the my studio yesterday looking at staves instead of carding wool. I guess this says it all. I absolutely loved chasing the ring on my first bow even though I felt like I was in pin knot purgatory. Thanks to all of you who spent the time looking over my shoulder to reassure me it was all going to be ok. I'm already eyeing another stave. I'm hoping to have the one I am working on shaped by MOJAM so that I can get some assistance tillering it.  Over the last year, since I bought my trad longbow, I have said several times that I had no desire to buy another bow. But sine this past weekend I have the desire to make more. Now I see what it's all about. There is something very cathartic about the entire process.

I shot the bow I got at the trading blanker from Osage Outlaw yesterday and could not be happier. Thad trad bow might just hang on the wall now. Which is completely the opposite of what I have been believing all this time.

Thanks again to everyone for a wonderful and memorable week at Marshall

Making bows is kind of "addictive", like potato chips, peanuts and pretzels.  ;)
Getting caught up in the making is a big part of the fun. After you make your first bow each one after will be "La Penultima", the next one until the last one.  :)

MoJam 2017 saw the creation/decoration of this run-of-the-mill cooler. It became mighty unique and "valuable" to me.

Marshall 2017 made it even more so as autographs were added late the last night as I slept soundly. Hope it accompanies me to many more such events and more uniqueness added.

Thanks, guys/gals!

That is one pink bedazzled cooler a bowyer would proudly carry. Just think if that cooler could talk.
