heat treat or not?

Badger, I am positive it is siberian elm.  the stuff grows like a weed around here, and is one of the few readily available sources for staves where I am at.  If I can make it work it will be easier to find staves--I think the stuff will also make me a better bowyer.

  Siberian elm will make you a better bowyer, I know it can make a very fast bow, not sure how durable but if it gets to full draw with no problem you should be good to go.
