“Two-tone” Osage bow
« on: October 25, 2017, 09:41:02 am »
I posted a while back that I was about to make a bow for my cousin who is an avid modern hunter. Well, I finished it. It’s 63 inches ntn, 50#@28” and is backed with Timber rattlesnake skins. The skins were supplied by my cousin which were freshly killed and eaten by a church friend. We both thought that the drastic difference in color between the two skins would make for a pretty neat looking bow. Unfortunately, I gave him the bow before getting a full draw picture

Looks great. Love to see a full draw if you get around to it.  ;)

That is a beautiful bow. I’m constantly in awe of the capability of so many on this forum to turn a simple bent piece of wood into a literal work of art.

That is very nice with a great strung profile. I like the contrasting skins, too, different.
