Welp, we sure enough did it. Scheduled an elk hunt, got delayed from the hurricane, and then rescheduled our hunt on Public land in Idaho. Elevations up to 9500 ft. We packed in what we could carry on our backs and with pack goats. Believe it or not, I killed the very first elk we laid eyes on. Looked across the next mountain and saw a bull. We spent the whole evening hunting it and at last light it walked in and I shot it with a stone point on a cane arrow, from my Osage bow. Admittedly not a good shot but it still ended in a great recovery. Bow is roughly 62# @ 24" shooting 620 grain arrow about 167fps. Point is roughly 80 grains of Montana Porcelainite. Got it all on video so keep your eyes open for the production in another few weeks. Should be a heck of a video. - Ryan Gill
