More Spoons,,,And Another one
« on: October 01, 2017, 12:28:50 pm »
I just finished another spoon from a spalted piece of hickory that Scott "stringman" sent me in a goody box of wood. And thought Id throw in the other two I finished from osage and pecan.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Thanks, Scott, I'm not done yet. I'm trying to build up a pile for when I retire and start the Mountain Rendevous circuit.

Nice spoons Eddie. What tools are you using to make them?

Thanks, guys. Pat, I roughed them out on the bandsaw and then carved them with a curved knife. They are oiled with Butcher Block oil.

Those look good Eddie.  Get everything back in order after the storm? Been thinking about you guys.  Are you going to make it to Pappy's in November?  If so, let me know what days.

David, I found out a really good knife isn't cheap. Dave, I'm planning on being there, I think it will be the week of the 12th. Chris' daughter is getting married on the tenth and they are planning on leaving on the 11th. I will be there depending on how it works out with Physical Therapy. I'll only be two weeks out of surgery again.
