Question on brace height and string tension compromise

If you get a higher string tension at 9 inches of brace than you do at 6, does it make up for the lost 3 inches of draw?

I once made up a string with a scale in it just to test the string tension. The highest tension is a low brace. I was testing with a 40# bow. At about 6" brace height the string tension was about 45#. (It was a while ago so the numbers are sorta guesses) As you drew the bow the string tension dropped. It was weird, the harder I pulled the lower the string tension was. I can't remember if it ever got down to 40#. Try it.
