Trailer Question??

Our Disaster Relief Team has a 16' x 7', twin axle, ball hitch, enclosed trailed that we tow to work sites.

The tread on the two back tires is wearing off far faster than the tread on the two front tires.
Front tires look almost new.  Half, if not more, of the tread on the two back tires is gone.
Trailer has about 3000 miles total on it.

What can cause this uneven tread wear??

Trailer is not level when towed.. Your only pulling on the back wheels not the front.. Lower your hitch height to put the front down.. Very common problem.

Load leveler system might help, too.  EZ LIFT, Etc.

Putting weight dead center on axle should help.

Get the front lowered so both axles can work and that baby will pull like a dream compared to now.

I agree with everyone. If trailer seems level already might want to check suspension to see if something is wrong with front axle.

I think you guys might be onto something.
The trailer is pulled by a Dodge 3500.  It just might be that the Ball Hitch is a bit to high.

Will Check the next time they hook it up.
