If you didn't already know Eric and Lara Fors are the best hosts you will ever have the pleasure of being hosted by. The food was exceptional and the hospitality was as always uncomparable. Had so much fun this weekend and can't wait for next year. Mike should have some good pics to post.

Jon said it all! What a great weekend!
Bow work, shooting, knapping, (both kinds, right Paul?) helping new people, visiting with friends, food, camp fire stories, and a few libations. The best of all was the hospitality from the Fors's! Couldn't ask for a better couple, especially to let us invade their house for the weekend. Thanks a ton and I can't wait till next year.  Hopefully someone will post some pics, I didn't take but one the whole time.

Jeez, a guy nods off on a warm and peaceful Saturday afternoon in a quiet neighborhood and now he's publickly mocked... ???

It's always a good time at The Gathering.

Paul was whittling on this lil piece of osage all weekend. I hope he posts pics of how it turned out.

Jon made quick work of chasing ring on this hole-in-stave.

Knapping pit was added this year. Will taking advantage of it.

We had about 4 newbies show up this year, but only pic I got was Noah.

And what's a Gathering without lots of late-night braggin' and lyin'?

... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857
