Bohning fletcher instructions?
« on: June 28, 2017, 11:48:00 am »
I picked up one of those Bohning Pro fletcher jigs in a trade but it came in pieces and without instructions.  :-\
Does anyone here happen to have one and can tell me, or show, how the nock end indexing dohicky goes together?

Paul, sorry I can't help with the set up but if you don't find help here Google it. You should be able to get instructions there.

Can you post a picture of what your parts look like?  Is it red plastic?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

It's the orange plastic one, pretty much the El' cheapo version.
And as far as the "google", I tried that and all I've been able to find is guys using one but not how it's supposed to be set up.

I think it may be made about the same as the Grayling fletching jig.  A Google search for "using Grayling jig" brings up some good info and videos.

If you're unsure about what you're doing as I was at first, I found it helpful to wrap some double sided tape around the arrow shaft and do a trial run before using glue.  That saved me a lot of headaches in the initial setup.

I hope this helps you out.  I marked the cock feather position on the knob.

OK, I think I can figure it out from that.
The spring goes inside the knob and then it all is held together by that little screw.
Thanks.  :OK

Yeah, I found my problem, the nock index piece for a 4 fletch was already installed and stuck. Once I got it out it all made sense.
Thanks for the info and pictures.  :OK
