first bow

Hi everyone.  I have been part of the conversation for a few months now and finally finished a bow that didn't break...
It came out super light (like 18lbs!) but it shoots great (500 arrows  through) and I have lots of kids and I learned lots.
Thanks especially to DC for the OS stave, Tree Ninja, Blaine, and Marc St Louis for help and encouragement.
I have broken 4 or 5 and have 4 or 5 more started...
 69" NTN hollow limb design 1"diameter Ocean Spray with deer antler tips (3/8"), hemp wrap handle, black tea stain, Saicos hard wax oil finish and zero string follow

Congratulations!  Your helpers look good, too.  The one in red may need a shorter bow, though :)!  I hope my first try turns out that good

I'm wondering about the 18# too. It looks like a lot of OS to only be 18# even with the hollow limbs.

bjrogg - I really like your bows and value your opinion -definitely not the last if I can stop breaking them!
upstate - ditto for you! I look at all your stuff.  Some guys I don't know (well, actually I don't know anybody), but I have to value those that consistently post insightful posts! And I love your bows
pearl drums - see above x3 my wife thinks I have a man crush on you
Brendan - cheers! you are on the coast? would love to connect.  I have been watching your OS thoughts I now think it is best worked fresh ( what a PITA to hollow seasoned!) thoughts?
Jawge - that means a lot! You are one of the first bowyers I followed and I always check your opinion even when it doesn't agree - I appreciate that!
GlisGlis, Hawkdancer, Bob barnes, Dubois, Beadman - haven't read enough to know you guys but I will look out for your posts! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.  I am loving this community.  My daughters are great helpers and my photographer too!
DC - happy birthday and thanks for the stave and getting me started.
not sure about the 18#, that is my first time measuring draw weight.  Have had solid groupings at 35metres with arrows spined for 40# bow so might be a bit stronger?
