Osage sawdust

Hey all,
My wife is big into fiber arts, spinning, knitting, dyeing, stuff like that. On one of her Facebook groups, someone is selling osage sawdust for dyeing fiber, at $16 a pound. Just thought I'd throw out a headsup, if you are looking for an outlet for "scrap". I guess osage gives a nice, rich yellow.

Huh I've just been giving it to someone I know that does the fiber arts seen, didn't think it was rare enough to get anything out of it.

Competition brings the price down - supply and demand!  I bet the ready made dye would be a better seller, except to Diy folks like us.  Maybe the red osier dogwood bark will sell

I'd love to be able to dye some of my ramie yellow for bowstrings.  Wonder if I could touch the sawdust with gloves on?

I have gotten to the allergic point where I have to wear a cartridge painters respirator when I work with osage or walnut. Touching the dust doesn't cause me problems, I am sure if you wore gloves there would be no problem.
