Canadian Plum Shorty

Hello everyone. 

Here's my latest, a Canadian Plum Bow w/ static curves. The Canadian stuff looks different from the American. I thought it would be hard to shoot given it's length and all, but I don't think I've ever shot as accurately as I do with this little bow. Maybe Beadman cast a magic shooting spell on the leather he sent me that I used for the handle, I don't know, but I sure do love it!

Oh yeah, I'm not gonna lie, this one took some set. Given the poundage though, I can't say I was surprised.

Your getting those statics down Jeff.That's a sweet bend.Glad to see that leather go on such a bow as that.Powerful little bow.Can't help but see the string knocks being inlayed instead of overlayed.Have you done this before?

Nice job Upstate, that should make a real nice hunting bow. I noticed the inlaid tips to, curious how they will hold up. I think I might have found some plum not sure. I saw it from the tractor when I was moving to a different field, now I gotta get this old brain to remember where it was. I do remember thinking  I bet that's plum. Anyway sweet bow.

DC, yes it's a bendy handle w/ cork build up. With these short ones I try to avoid too much bend in the middle. I've made that mistake many times and it seems to bring performance way down.

Jon, I think it's me that can't take another inch or two! 

Ed and BJ, I'm not sure why I went with the inlays rather than the overlays. Just trying something different I guess. At the time I wasn't thinking about the potential dangers. I plan on shooting it a lot so we'll see how it holds up and I'll let you all know if they fail.

That's a nice little bow.  I like the short static bendy's like that.  I'll be getting my first plum stave soon.  I can't wait to try it out.
