Montana region bow wood..?
« on: May 31, 2017, 08:18:11 pm »
OK, I'd read someplace that some guys in Montana are putting together a bow building weekend get together and that the folks down at the Oklahoma Selfbow Society, founders of Ojam, were helping out with some suitable bow wood. Whilst mentioning this to the wife at supper she wondered what bow woods were available in Montana? All I could think of was juniper but there must be some hardwood varieties . . ?
So what do the intrepid bowyers of Montana, and the region, use for building bows?

Me too!
I heard about this event over in Michigan a when I was at Marshall! So the word is getting around!
