Just finished 1 to do bucket list thing here.Does this look like it'll work?It's horn over and under layed on a winged elm tip.The space created is a fat 1/2" space for brush to go through.Was also thinking of rounding that inside apex space a little with a file.Think it would jeoperdize it any?
I looked on the search and saw some beautiful fantastic versions.Especially 4est Trekkers' version of a laminated one.The bumble bee looking one.
Hav'nt tillered the bow yet.Hope it turns out.

Looks like it would be pretty darn effective. Rounding it too much may make it less brush knock. They look nice.

The string should lay good.Got the future bow staightened out dead nuts.It may look off but I just held it that way taking the picture.
They sure take extra time to file and shape then a regular tip. I'll say that.

The bow is reflexed a bit with the tips bent some too with dry heat after heat treating.I've seen them used on straight bows too but I think they look better attached to a static bent  tip.

Yes I've seen them before too.Mine will be a brush bow inspired one.Serving it's purpose.

I'm not an owner of a grumley bow myself but have a friend who has one.A brush knock static recurve.It's a pretty sweet bow.

I would definitely give it that scooped out rounded groove rather than leaving it blocky.

Something makes me think that a smooth rounded shape would catch less brush. No sharp corners for twigs to hang up on maybe.
