Really nice bow you made!  While I'm sure you would have preferred to take the deflex out, the natural deflex must make it a real nice shooter.  I'll definitely tune in for the full draw picture.

I'll second that.I'm sure it shoots sweet along with a very nice look being made of yew and your additions to it.

Very nice.  I don't know about the tip overlays though.  They look good but I have had issues with plain sawn overlays shearing off along the grain, this was on recurves though

Good looking bow. You will have to keep us all posted as to how the tip overlays hold up.

Thanks for all the compliments. I've shot this bow upwards of 200 times. It's super smooth and shoots hard. The overlays are holding up just fine. I padded my loops extra heavy to help out on the soft heart wood overlays

Love the FD pic. Yew is an awesome wood and you did it justice indeed.

Nice job! You did that yew wood justice. I like the overlays, I'll have to try that some time.

You did a great job on your first yew bow Paul.  I don't think that crack will cause any issues.  I hope you submit it for bow of the month.

yew is such a pretty wood.still been dreaming about getting a stave of it...now you just killed me with this beautiful bow you created. awesome craftsmanship on this one. Way to build around those knots and imperfections also. Great tips. You have the whole package bud
