I'm a glutton for punishment. This stave was an absolute rollercoaster when I started. I had to do quite a bit of heat treatment to tame it down. I was constantly second guessing myself as I worked to get the limbs bending and doing their fair share of work. The bow pulls 45#@28".  I got the lovely skins from Cipriano. For the tip overlays I used cow hoof. We had some sitting around from a cow that ended up in our freezer this winter. I am really pleased with how they look. I will definitely use them again. I made this bow for my uncle, who basically said, "make me a cool bow". He doesn't shoot so I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that this bow will live out it's life on the wall. Next time I visit I'll try to get him shooting.

So sad that will live on a wall.  That is a beautiful bow.  The tiller looks spot on.
