You're quite a bit north of me but if you are down this way (Tucson) give me a shout.

I'm in Southern Utah and I think I am closer to you than Nate.  ;D I used to come down to the Flagstaff area hunting coyotes a lot. It has been a couple of years though. We should get Nate to come up and we could hunt javelina. You guys have plenty of those around Flag. Justin

Except I just looked through the AZ regs to see if there was an achery OTC for javelina and it seems it is a Juniors only hunt in the Fall and bonus pts only for other hunters  :o  Guess we"ll have to stack some Yotes...Anyone ever tried coyote rawhide or sinew???  :)

Late season archery is good down there too.

Nate, it isn't that hard to draw an archery tag for javelina. I got one a few years back on my first try. We just have to plan better because we just missed the deadline for spring.  ::)

Tsalagi,

I definitely plan on hunting the OTC for deer.  My baby is due Dec 19th though so we'll see how much time I get for that hunt.

Justin,
Was that a draw here in AZ for the javelina?  I couldn't find any info for the Javelina hunts here in AZ except that it's Bonus points only or for the youth hunts.  Not sure I could spend the dough needed to do a non-resident for them in Utah.  But we will definitely have to schedule something.

The area right around of Flag, area 11m, is over the counter archery only javelina. There is an area nearby that has 1000 archery draw tags. Like I said, not too hard to get one. It also coincides with the late deer archery season Jan 1-21.  ;) Today is actually the deadline, but you can't do it on the internet, it has to be mailed or dropped in person.
