Oh man, you like the hard way - do you?
I've made a bunch of bows with knots huge lige this. I would reduce the walls of the eye to an even thickness, just the same like the limb portions above and below. Let the unbraced bow balnce on your finger at pivot point and watch what it does. I assume it produces some handshock at release.
It will not bend because of the geometry, but reduce a lot of weight. Not sure about the first third of the upper limb, maybe it should bend a little more.
