Bamboo Backed Ipe D/R

This is one of James Parker's bow blanks that I got from him at the Classic last year. I got it shooting during the classic but I left it the full length. I finally got around to finishing it up. I cut it down to 63" long and retillered it. I didn't check the weight but it feels a little heavier than my 50 lb bows. I'm guessing 55-60 lb at 25". The tip overlays are water buffalo horn. I used the gloss rim sealer for the finish. I'm not crazy about how the handle turned out. I'm planning on getting another one from James this year at the Classic. I'll do a better job shaping it. The weather wasn't cooperating today. I tried to get some pictures in between the storms. They didn't turn out the greatest. The orange and black dye job didn't show up very well.
For those of you who make it to the Classic this year check out James Parker's bow blanks. They are very good quality.

Nice bow, Clint. Your tillering of it is what I'd call an almost perfect R/D tiller. Well done!
Can't wait to see what James has been working on lately.

Beautiful bow Clint, I don't see anything wrong with handle if it fits you good. I suppose you'll be giving up that yellow wood now. Seriously nice bow

Nice job on that tiller Clint, I will be coming back to look at it when I'm tillering my D/R bows because I believe you nailed it!
