Made a little bit of progress. Both the Honey Locust and Juniper bow billets are spliced, glued, and shaped. With the Honey Locust, I even reduced the thickness to about a half inch and it should be ready to start tillering. The Juniper I reduced its thickness between 0.7 and 1 inch. Since juniper is lighter and less stiff material I'm not sure what thickness to start with, so I gave myself plenty of leeway to avoid taking off too much by accident.

Greg,
No risk, no gain. Expand the mold and try new things.

Swamp Thang,
I'm seeing stiff just past lower fade to about 6" from tip and top limb from just past fade to mid limb.
That is as long as profile is even and flat to start with.

Brendan, Yew is coming along nicely!

gfugal, I have some billets to do sometime. What did you use to glue em up?

I used System Three T88. It's a pretty cheap, but good, epoxy. I'm pretty confident it will hold up well. the joint wasn't completely perfect, a few spots could shine light through but the glue seemed to fill the gaps well. I also forgot to post these. They have a ≈ 50° bend and extend 5 inches. I might shorten those though. It has 3 inches of length for the v joint. They are made of thin quality plywood that I found and glued three together, then cut the shape out. I heard laminated wood is stronger and resists lateral bend. It's about .65 inches thick now and feels very sturdy.

Systems 3 t88 is awesome epoxy! It's all I ever use on laminated anything. I'm not sure the plywood was the best choice, but hopefully it works out. It looks good. I might be inclined to put another thin laminate over the plywood, just for insurance purposes.

Swamp, might you be a member of the committee to eliminate redundancy committee.  >:D  Gotta hate that accidental double click.

At least the bow is looking good.  ;)

Ok time to nag, sorry guys, but, I have only had postal addresses from 13 of you. This month's incentive draw is in ten days, if you want to win something nice, and lets face it the odds are really good, I need an address to despatch to. Remember, to qualify for the draw you only need to have posted a photo AND have given me an address to post the prize to.

Give 'er a few weeks, depending on RH. That should be plenty for most conditions if only a thin layer.

Thanks guys, great response, just waiting for two to get back to me; I've messaged them so if you haven't had a pm from me then its all good. 😁 I also checked everyone's still participating since we're more or less half way through and almost everyone has posted something in the last few weeks so thank you all for your contributions.
