grain orientation for boo backed bows

i have a spare bamboo back, your sentiments are encouraging me to try to work through the issues of my 3rivers osage scrap. I may be able to cut it down to 60" twist out the remaining warp and back it with the bamboo to see what I can salvage from it. Better to give a short decent bow to a friend for free than sit on my shelf and remind me of a failed project.

Eric your post gives me hope on some of these boards.. appears they were cut off a large limb
