Thanks Sean....I have seen your Bows and I really like the detail you put in to yours as well....I like the Primitive Bows....nothing fancy...no fancy high gloss buffed Shine or Rainforest Tree Tip Overlays here.....I like them as simple as possible...less can go wrong.... Next step...I learn to make Sinew Strings..then they will be Totally Primitive!!!!!!!!

Awesome bow - what was the purpose of scalloping the bow for them? It seems  it would be hard with primitive tools and take a lot more time - though it does look really cool......

The Scallops are strictly Onamental....and really arent that hard to carve into the Sides....if you look at the Profile of the Bow....it is just a regular Flatbow...with the Scallops added....what I am trying to say....is if you draw a straight line from handle to tip.....it is the same on both sides of the Bow....the deepest parts of the Scallops are the same width as the Bow is on the other side..... These were carved out with a Drawknife...so I can see that they would be easy enough to scrape out with a nice sharp piece of Basalt or Flint
