Ghengis Khan >:D would hire you for his chief bowyer on this one. Outstanding. All set up for March Self Bow of the Month, too.

Fantastic and classic looking bow ,Akila. I love that style bow and will have to build another one. I broke the first one I tried by not using enough sinew near the handle.

The more I look at that bow, the more I like it. Have you had a chance to shoot it yet?

What type of joint did you use to glue the siyahs on? I may have to try one of those!  :)

Hi i use a v shape....here are a fiew pictures...

Here is a picture with the syiah...you can see how i draw the shape first...and thenn i use a rasp to shape the syiah..

Here is the syiah after the rasp...

Here is a side view of the syiahh...you can see the line that i draw...and then i use the rasp again...to shape the syiah...

Here is a picture of the syiah...with a little sanding on it...to be a little rounde on the corners....the final  syiah where a little more narrow, not  so wide like in this picture....

Whenn i put the sinew on the back of the bow , i also wrap the joint with sinew, to be more strong...the V joint is 4" long...

Here is the final syiah....you can see that is a lot narow .....the bow is only 45#....so the syiah seem to be ok with this dimension....
