Bamboo flaw

So there is a small gouge in the bamboo of the bamboo osage I just glued up. Not sure if it was there when I got it or not. It is very small just through the top layer or skin of the bamboo. My photo bucket isn't behaving so I can't post a pic. Can bamboo handle a scratch like this? Thanks for all the help on this bow so far. I will definitely post the bow here if and when is done

If it is only scratched through the rind/skin, no problem. If it reaches deeper.... by way of scratch, dent, bruise..... the likelihood that it creates a serious problem is increased... degree depends on severity.

Just scrape it off when you remove the outer rind
