How's this bend lookin?

This is that narrow osage bow I mentioned yesterday. I've got it to about 23" and the weight is there is right where I want it, just below 40#. How's the tiller looking? I braced it high (with a real bow string  O:)) cause it's the only string I've got. It's taking almost no set. I don't want to remove much more wood if I don't have to. Thanks guys :)

Looks good but it looks like the bottom limb is bending a little more than the top.
If the weight is where you want it, flip the limbs around.

You beat me to it Jawge. If your set on top as is there is a dark spot just above your hand. A few scrapes above that area wouldn't hurt much.

It doesn't look like the lower limb is bending more(further than the top limb) to me. It does look to have a tighter bending radius than the top limb though. This can occur due to a difference in limb length, with a longer top limb. Not really a problem unless one limb starts to take more set than the other, or you have a hinge. Doesn't seem to be a problem in your case.

That lower limb seems to have a little natural flip...if the top was the same I think it would be hard to see a difference.  I agree with clint...your really turning a corner.

I'm with Jawge and Jon.

when taking pics of a f/d for asking about bending you should have:
- hold the bow absolute vertically
- put an arrow on the string
- camera angle perpenticular to the bow side
- camera height at the height of your hand

otherwise it could be that the camera angle gives a wrong shape of the bend

Looks good from here, maybe as was said a little mid upper limb if you have some weight to give, but over all looks good. :)

Take a pic with both limbs up and if you can, from both the left and right side. Sometimes selfbows look totally different from the left to the right side.
