Gracious  Lymann,
Is there anything you do not do? Very cool banjos.
I don't know a note from a letter but love to listen.
Robert and Keith bring there guitars to House Mt.
Maybe you all  can jam this summer?

I've been thinking about it for a while bubby. I have 2 wood cigar boxes and have read about and watched You Tube videos about making one but as of yet I haven't.   ::)

Nice instruments, nc!

Bub, build along would be fun read.

Wow!! Nice work gentleman. All this help is what I needed to get started. I almost can hear banjo music when I look through the woods for the body of my banjo. Gonna use hickory for the Neck I think, possibly black locust if I have a scrap piece long enough. Working on bows has taught me if it's made out of wood I should be able to hack, rasp, and shave away till I find it in there somewhere and then I'll have one too! A Bow some Arrows a banjo and a comfortable chair is pretty much all you need in life and all can be made with the same tools and techniques.  next time I post I'll show you what I came up with for raw materials and get started. I'll start a new thread for the build along and do it in real time. Thank you all for your info and the encouragement. Both are essential for me
