Elm D-bow with static-recurve tips (pic heavy)
« on: December 11, 2016, 09:39:32 am »
Greetings and Happy Holidays!

Here's a bow I just finished up. It shoots really fast and feels awesome in the hand. It never would have turned out as well as it did if it weren't for all the thoughtful comments you all have given me over the past few months. Thank you all very much. Here it is...

64" ntn
45# at 27"
1 1/2" wide (handle narrowed some) out to mid-limb tapering down to a little less than 3/8 at the tips
cow horn overlays
paper backing with rat snake skin over that
leather cord handle wrap
toasted belly
tung oil finish (about 8 coats w/ steel wool in between each)
