Anyone tried ramie strings?
« on: December 10, 2016, 05:42:55 pm »
Found it grown for bowstrings on eBay at a very low price but excellent feedback.  I know that the Chinese used it for some massive weight bows, but what's its lifespan like?  I spin endless strings, if that matters, and I also will do tied in loops on appropriate bows.  Just wondered about its viability due to it being about a buck and a half for 50m.

I found some good looking Rami thread too and I was tempted to try it but didn't. Curious to hear if anyone's tried it with success.
