Archer Automaton Prototype Mechanism

I've been toying with the idea of an archer automaton for some time... here's my first try at a basic mechanism.

She's kinda cute, Del. Just for fun? or are you planning to go full scale?

I'm going to make an army of full sized ones to march on Parliament! >:D
But seriously I'll prob keep it that size and get it fully functioning as far as possible. don't know if I'l produce a fully polished and clothed one. It's purely for the fun of it... but you never know.
Don't know that it's feasible to get it to load the arrow but hopefully I should get it to pick up the string automatically.
Shoots a mile left due to the arrow being too stiff, I'll make a better more powerful bow as it progresses.
There's a lot of fiddling and fettling to get the action.

That's pretty nifty Del. Paint a playing card motif on it and it could be an archer for the Red Queen in Wonderland.

That is cool, I hope you keep at it and make a fully polished and clothed one.

I can't do video. Any chance you could post a photo? :)
Perhaps Pat B could do it up in paper machete. :-\

Tiller looks to be bending a little extra in the grip  ;D

Very impressive engineering Del.  I see you are finding a way to occupy your free time since retiring.
