Here's the hide destined to be a possibles bag for my recipient.Good prime hide.I'll piece it out so the head and neck are the closure flap with the tail and lower half the facing body of the bag.I'll put a little lead weight onto the nose of the face to add weight for closure of the flap too.
4 string round braid up a carrying strap for over the shoulder carrying.

cool-sounding plan.

Cool! I've made a couple like you are talking about. I carried on all through Costa Rica back in 1995. Talk about a head turner. Lol.

bowtartist.....I think a person can get away with that international possession usage of hides as long as it is made into something as you said. This bag is'nt my first rodeo either and what I'll do is stitch it up in the blind as I'm waiting for a deer or a turkey to pass the time.....lol.
I'll have to hand stitch it.I'll use artificial sinew with a small glovers' needle.Very tough stuff.Should make a 8"X 8" possibles bag.
I'd like to request this get put in the christmas trades' thread.

Not sure how to move it Ed, above my pay grade.
I can move it to another forum but not sure if it can be added to an existing one.
Nice looking hide and am sure it will turn out a nice bag, what did you tan it with ?
