I was playing around and made this sucker just for the helluvit. It's about 50" long, about 700 grains, made from river cane with quickee two-feather fletching and a dogwood point. I didn't take too many pains with it, but surprisingly, it flies great and is quite accurate. I shot it a few times from a long 50# ash flatbow and at 15 yards it's point-on. At twenty it's still accurate, but drops a bit more than a normal arrow. No wagging or porpoising. I expected it to nose-dive or flit around like a drunken bat, but it flies true. It hits the target bag with a sound resembling a dead cow being whacked in the paunch with a go-devil. The first shot a fifteen yards went all the way through the eternity target bag with the point sticking out the other side.
Now all I need is to get within range of a monkey......I may have to make some more of these and a seven-foot jungle bow to shoot them with. That would be a lot of fun, take 'em to a 3D shoot with the wheelie guys and their overdraws and 23" arrows.
