Hickory Flatbow Buck
« on: October 29, 2016, 08:02:19 pm »
I was fortunate enough to bleat this fellar by the stand this morning. Nice 8 yard shot. A little back so I gave him some time. He went about 150 yards but left good sign. 58# Hickory bow with river cane arrow and homemade point.

Congratulations. Experience tells you when to give them time. Is a home made point stone or steel?

Steel point. My knapping skills are nothing to speak of. I've used a couple flint heads other people have made for me and they did a fine job.
