I made a heat diffuser for my heat gun. Without the diffuser and with the tip of the gun 4" from the wood it takes about 7 minutes to start to char the wood. With the diffuser and the tip of the diffuser 4" from the wood I quit after 12 min and it hadn't started to char. Has anyone else that uses a diffuser noticed this? If so, how close do you put the tip of the diffuser to the wood to correct for this?
