Arrow energy and penetration
« on: October 08, 2016, 01:48:31 am »
Assuming a sharp point, how much energy would be needed for a pass through shot on a deer? Say, inside of 15 yards, and assuming proper placement.

For example, would a 450 grain arrow pass through moving 150 initial velocity?

It would be just a guess to calculate penetration.
You would have to calculate using a consistent mass
or worst case through bone, muscle, hide and organs.
So what would that be??
