The blow blew up last night. I put the string on it and thought Id shoot a few short draw shots. I braced it, and tugged the string maybe 20" and a knot let go into four pieces she went! Oh well. Start another, that's two in a row for me. Bad luck this fall :)

That sucks and a punch in the gut....What do ya think does it just dry out a little more to do that?You've got another stave there though.If I remember it was a cleaner stave.The worm will turn.
I'm after another red cedar here too.I've taken my punches in the gut from that stuff.All my fault though.....lol.
