Dragon slayer arrow
« on: September 12, 2016, 03:23:13 pm »
I received my trade arrow in the mail today from Dakota Kid. I'll have t say it is my first dragon slayer arrow. It has a freshwater mother of pearl arrow head with rune inscription with sinew wrap, goose feathers and a self nock. I do have a NC and SC zombie hunting license but not a dragon slaying arrow so now I should be well protected. This will be a nice addition to my collection. Thanks Mike.

Aw dang, he went and "runed" a good arrow!

Punny JW, real Punny.

I'm glad you like it Pat. You said you planned it to be a decorative arrow, so I tried to give it a little theatrical flair. A little D&D gaming from my past may have been an influence.

Don't go shooting my dragons now. I'm rather fond of them.  A dragon and a demon are very different creatures, but some ideologies like to lump them together. Dragons often represent elder wisdom, patience, and strength of both mind and muscle. They usually aren't interested in the affairs of man unless it somehow involves them. If you do happen to catch the attention of a dragon, often the worst you would have to look forward to is playful trickery in hopes you learn a greater lessen. In the myths involving dragons, I'm reminded of the behavior exhibited by the coyote in Native American lore.

Demons on the other hand, I have no use for and am certain are always up to no good. If you see one fire away!!!

Ooops my nerdy side is showing again.  :-[ ::)

I guess I'm more of a zombie slayer but I can handle demons too. When I come across a dragon I'll accept his elder wisdom and be patient about absorbing the mental and physical strength to do the right thing.  8)

If I would have known you were into zombie hunting, I would have made you an incendiary arrow.  >:D >:D >:D

I should try and dig up the picture of the old steven's pump 12 ga I remade. I took the barrel down to 1/2" over legal, blacked it out,  and airbrushed some zombies and  neon green highlights on it. I called it the "walker stalker". I never did find the one replacement part for it though. It was missing an ejector spring. I just use it as a demo piece.
